Superfriends

A strategy built around deploying multiple planeswalkers and using their loyalty abilities to generate overwhelming value. Named after the cartoon — you’re assembling a team of heroes (planeswalkers) to fight together.

How Superfriends Works

Planeswalkers generate value every turn through loyalty abilities. One planeswalker is strong; three on the battlefield is often game-winning. Superfriends decks protect their walkers with board wipes, tokens for blocking, and proliferate to accelerate loyalty counters.

Key Superfriends Cards

Superfriends in Commander

Five-color commanders like Atraxa, Praetors’ Voice (built-in proliferate) or Sisay, Weatherlight Captain (tutors legends) are popular superfriends leaders.

Building Superfriends

Include 12-15 planeswalkers, 8-10 protection pieces (board wipes, fogs), 8-10 ramp sources, and proliferate effects. The deck is expensive to build in paper but incredibly rewarding to pilot.
