Steps
  1. Activate a basic Island by tapping it, adding {U}.
  2. Activate Earthcraft by tapping Misthollow Griffin, untapping a basic Island.
  3. Activate a basic Island by tapping it, adding {U}.
  4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Misthollow Griffin, adding {1}.
  5. When Misthollow Griffin dies, Brenard triggers, exiling Misthollow Griffin from your graveyard and creating a token copy of it that is a 1/1 Food Golem artifact creature token.
  6. Activate Earthcraft by tapping the Misthollow Griffin token, untapping a basic Island.
  7. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Misthollow Griffin token, adding {1}.
  8. Cast Misthollow Griffin from exile by paying {2}{U}{U}.
  9. Repeat.

Show steps
  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar six times by sacrificing six additional nontoken creatures, adding {4}{U}{U}.
  2. Cast Misthollow Griffin by paying {2}{U}{U}.
  3. Activate Blade of Shared Souls' equip ability by paying {2}, attaching it to Misthollow Griffin.
  4. Blade of Shared Souls triggers, causing Misthollow Griffin to become a copy of Gerrard.
  5. Put Misthollow Griffin in the graveyard due to the legend rule.
  6. When Misthollow Griffin dies as a copy of Gerrard, it triggers, exiling itself and returning all other artifact and creature cards put into your graveyard this turn to the battlefield.
  7. Repeat.
  8. If you control a seventh additional nontoken creature, you may sacrifice it as well each loop to get infinite colored mana.
