Steps
  1. Activate Relic of Legends by tapping your commander, adding {B}.
  2. Your commander triggers, giving it +2/+0 and undying until end of turn.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing your commander, adding {C}{C}.
  4. When your commander dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  5. Activate Fain's second ability by tapping it and removing the +1/+1 counter from your commander, creating a Treasure artifact token.
  6. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {1}.
  7. Activate Fain's fourth ability by paying {3}{B}, untapping it.
