Steps
  1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing the creature with persist.
  2. The persist ability triggers, returning that creature to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it, as well as a +1/+1 counter due to Gev.
  3. The +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on that creature are removed as a state-based action.
  4. Resolve the ability from step 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on Bloodflow Connoisseur.
  5. Repeat.

  2. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Metalwork Colossus.
  3. When Metalwork Colossus dies, The Ooze triggers, creating a Mutagen token for each +1/+1 counter Metalwork Colossus had.
  4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
  5. Activate Metalwork Colossus by sacrificing two Mutagens, returning it from your graveyard to your hand.
  6. Repeat.
