Steps
  1. Cast The Balrog from the command zone by paying {B}{R}.
  2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing The Balrog, adding {B}.
  3. Choose to return The Balrog to the command zone from your graveyard.
  4. When The Balrog dies, it and Blight Mound trigger.
  5. Resolve the Balrog trigger, destroying any artifact and/or creature an opponent controls.
  6. Resolve the Blight Mound trigger, creating a 1/1 Pest creature token.
  7. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Pest, adding {R}.
  8. When the Pest dies, it triggers, causing you to gain one life.
  9. Repeat.
