2. As it turns face up, have it copy Brine Elemental, triggering Brine Elemental's face-up ability.
3. Resolve the ability; each opponent skips their next untap step.
4. Pass the turn; on your upkeep, turn Vesuvan Shapeshifter face down.
5. Repeat infinitely.

1. Activate Kiki-Jiki by tapping it, creating a token copy of Vesuvan Shapeshifter that has haste. Choose to have Vesuvan Shapeshifter enter as a copy of Kiki-Jiki.
2. Put the oldest Kiki-Jiki into the graveyard due to the legend rule.

2. Vesuvan Shapeshifter enters as a copy of Sharuum.
3. Put Sharuum into the graveyard due to the legend rule.

5. Put Sharuum into the graveyard due to the legend rule.
6. Sharuum enters the battlefield triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.

4. At the beginning of your upkeep, Chronomantic Escape triggers, removing a time counter from itself.
5. Repeat from step 3 one additional time.
6. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Chronomantic Escape triggers, removing a time counter from itself and causing you to cast it without paying its mana cost.
7. Resolve Chronomantic Escape, causing creatures to be unable to attack you until your next turn, and putting Chronomantic Escape into exile with three time counters on it.
