Why Play All That Glitters

Artifact and enchantment-heavy decks gain a powerful, scaling threat with this efficient aura that can quickly create massive creatures. The best targets are evasive creatures like flying or unblockable threats that can immediately pressure opponents once buffed. Play it when you already have several artifacts or enchantments in play to maximize immediate impact, or in decks that naturally generate multiple permanents of these types through their game plan.

Format Notes

Pioneer sees the most competitive play in Ensoul Artifact builds and enchantment-based aggro decks where it can regularly provide +3/+3 or more. The card is banned in Pauper due to its explosive potential with artifact lands and cheap artifacts creating oppressive early-game threats. In Commander, it serves as solid value in artifact-heavy decks but faces more removal in the multiplayer environment.

Combos & Synergies

Ornithopter provides a free, evasive target that immediately threatens significant damage when enchanted. Sram, Senior Edificer turns this into card advantage while building your board presence with additional auras and artifacts. Sigarda's Aid allows for instant-speed deployment, enabling surprise lethal attacks or protecting your investment by waiting until the most opportune moment to commit to the board.
