this isn’t a good idea because the token when die don’t go into graveyard: the tokens are removed (exiled) and so we can count them as creature that go into cemetery!

The combo is too much centered on the Archivist with only ponder to search for it.

What are the probabilities that you draw the Archivist? Can you protect it to go OL? And after it goes online you are still not guaranteed to win.

The combo is too slow and too easy to counter.

But, if we want to stick to it, Forbidden Alchemy is a very good card to add. It will help you find your Archivist if you dont draw it in your opening hand.
T1: Ponder
T2: Erasure
T3: Done. Counter or if your opponent did not cast anything you go Forbidden Alchemy to draw what you need. 4 cards dig is something.

Additionally, we are not bound to be mono colored so we may want to add White for DOJ to have a threat of a board wipe at T4. This way your opponent will think twice on putting all his creatures on the board fast.

I’ve been doing this in a deck build around Mitotic Slime/Ashnod’s Altar/Genesis Wave ramp with Overgrown Battlement, Vine Trellis, and Wall of Omens for extra defense, spin, and mana boost. It’s great to empty your deck of permanents, clear your board of creatures with the Altar, and still wind up with an army of 3/3s if the combo gets stopped short by Counterspell or something. Oh, and I threw in Gaea’s Blessing to ensure that my library doesn’t STAY in my graveyard.

Yeah for sure. I recently bought the Devour for Power deck (Heavenly Inferno was not in stock) and I enjoy playing the Commander style. I even put my friend onto Commander. The Heavenly Inferno Commander Deck is my next buy choice when it is restocked.

A more parsimonious explanation is that the author, DJ, simply misread Ball Lightning and thought that activating Sundial of the Inifnite on each of your own turns was sufficient.
